As Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer, Mr. Davis leads content development for Hasbro’s brands across multiple platforms; provides oversight of the Company’s Los Angeles-based Hasbro Studios; leads the global licensing and publishing teams and in-house commercial production at Cakemix Studios; and is involved in the management of Hasbro’s ongoing interest in the Discovery Family Channel. Mr. Davis, responsible for closely aligning Hasbro’s storytelling with the transformative work of its teams to bring branded play to life around the world, also works closely with Hasbro’s Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer Brian Goldner to oversee the Company’s film label, Allspark Pictures, as well as franchise films such as Transformers that are produced in partnership with major studios. The first two films to be produced under the Allspark Pictures banner are Jem and the Holograms as a live-action film and a My Little Pony animated feature film. He has led Hasbro Studios’ global television and short-form development, production and international distribution unit since its launch in 2009. With the expansion of his portfolio three years later, Mr. Davis gained responsibility for all of Hasbro’s global film activities, and in 2013 assumed responsibility for its Global Licensing & Publishing division, which is focused on brand building and monetization for the more than 1,500 well-known brands that make up Hasbro’s portfolio. Under Mr. Davis’ guidance, the studio has expanded dramatically, developing and producing popular TV shows based on Hasbro’s world class brands, including TRANSFORMERS, MY LITTLE PONY, LITTLEST PET SHOP and FAMILY GAME NIGHT, and stands as one of the most prolific independent program suppliers in Hollywood, having produced more than 1,000 half-hours of programming since its inception. Series produced by the studio can be seen in 180 territories around the world and have been nominated for numerous awards, including nine Daytime Emmy wins. Mr. Davis has significant relationships with business and creative leaders across all platforms, as well as an in-depth knowledge of TV production, story development and distribution. Prior to joining Hasbro, he was CEO of Family Entertainment Group LLC, which, under his direction, was engaged in the development, production, revitalization and distribution of family entertainment content for the traditional and digital space. He joined the company from his post as President of Mobile and Online Media at the NASDAQ-listed digital media company, InfoSpace. Earlier, Mr. Davis served as President of Granada America, a unit of one of Europe’s leading producers and broadcasters of quality television programming. During his tenure at Granada America, the company developed and produced award-winning and highly-rated reality, drama, kids and factual programming, and became the largest foreign-owned supplier of programming to the U.S. networks. Mr. Davis took on his role at Granada America from serving as President-CEO of Carlton America, a leading worldwide producer and distributor of television programming and formats that later merged with Granada. At Carlton, he also served as a director and member of the senior management team of Carlton International Media Ltd., a program distribution, DVD and book publishing company. Mr. Davis came to Carlton from Hamdon Entertainment, a joint venture between Carlton and Studio Hamburg (NDR). At Hamdon, he served as President and CEO, leading the company’s TV movie production and distribution businesses in the domestic and international marketplace. At the Griffin Group, the entertainment and investment company of entertainer and entrepreneur Merv Griffin, Mr. Davis was VP of Entertainment and Media Development. He oversaw the company’s television programming, motion picture, live entertainment and new media businesses, while also supervising its entertainment-related M&A activities.
